If I join today, how soon will I be able to use AmeriPlan dental®?

Typically, AmeriPlan dental® can be used immediately after joining online or as soon as your credit card or checking account clears the system.  Once you are active, the dentist will be able to call AmeriPlan® through a toll-free number to verify that you are an active member.  If you have a dentist appointment and need services right away, you may contact us for the toll-free number after you sign-up from this site.   Click here for the toll-free number only if you joined through this website.  After verifying your membership we will contact you promptly.

How much can I expect to save by using AmeriPlan dental®?

I need to fill a prescription at the drug store.  Can I join today and go to the pharmacy tomorrow and use my free prescription service?

No. Before you can use the prescription, vision and chiropractor care you will have to wait until you receive your membership card in the mail - usually within 7-10 working days from your start date.

I checked with my pharmacy to see if they accept AmeriPlan® and they didn't know.  What should I do next?

When you get your membership card in the mail, take it to the pharmacy and show them the prescription drug logo on the card.  This will identify one of the largest pharmacy networks in the country and most likely your pharmacy will be one of the over 50,000 pharmacies that honor this membership.  Until your membership packet arrives you may review our home page for a partial list of top national pharmacy chains that hope to serve you.

After I complete the online application, what can I expect to receive in the mail?

Within 7-10 working days, you can expect to receive your membership cards, member information guide and a directory of all the providers in your area.  The directory will also contain a complete list of fee schedules for every dental procedure.

Is this insurance?

No. This is a discount service that saves people up to 80% on dental services.  Some refer to it as a  "discount fee for services" program.  Unlike insurance, AmeriPlan dental® has no deductibles, no waiting period, no claim forms, no annual limits, and all on-going medical/dental conditions (except braces in progress) are included.  Plus, several other advantages outlined on the home page.

If I decide later that the AmeriPlan® isn't for me, can I quit anytime?

Yes, you may cancel at anytime.

I like to travel in my motor home from state to state.  Can I use AmeriPlan® while I'm away?

Yes. We have providers across the U.S.A. (except Montana, Vermont, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota).  You can find any provider you're looking for - just click here.  (Click on the down arrow to find other types of providers.)

Do I have to use one of your providers?

Yes. All of our providers are fully qualified and licensed professionals who have met all requirements to be on our list.  If you do not see your dentist on the list, you will be able to complete a postcard in your membership kit entitled "Are you missing your favorite dentist?"  If you mail that completed card, the company will be glad to contact your dentist on your behalf.  You will be able to view all participating dentists and providers on the company website.

Is there a limit to the number of people living with me?

No, there is no limit as long as everyone lives at the same mailing address.  This can include roommates, grandchildren, your mother-in-law, etc.

What type of cosmetic dentistry does the AmeriPlan® include?

AmeriPlan dental® includes a wide range of cosmetic dentistry - bleaching, white fillings, esthetic partials, caps, braces, teeth reshaping, veneers, etc.  After joining, the Membership Information Guide that will be mailed to you will detail all the procedures.

I work for a small company that doesn't have a dental plan.  Can our employees join as a group?

Yes.  We offer group membership to any company or organization of five members or more.
